Being a person who is mentioned
On twitter magazines and tv
Does not make you better
to be flavour of month or moment
Does not mean you are totally removed
From the rules of society
Just means people will take vivacious interest
In your detachment from reality
Initially find intriguing and humorous
As you spin out of control
Then be worried and alarmed
As your world completely collapses
As the naughty becomes outrageous
Before tragically just becoming sad
As the reality you refuse to acknowledge
Closes in on you
As full consequences of your actions
Devastate all you are or ever were
And everyone flees before the whirr
Of you spinning faster beyond control
The inevitable crash growing closer
The doom as cracks pulled wider
As the smile becomes suitably manic
The madness eating through the surface
Fed by drugs or fame or money
The mortal bounds having been reached
All parameters of commonsense breached
You are untouchable you declare
And in truth none desire to touch you
The mutant broken howling walking corpse
The insominiac pill popping media whore
The shadow of the human being that was
A freak still willing or unwillingly on show
A moral lesson to us all
To walk carefully along the cliff
Not to plunge blindly over the edge
Because for all the lovely views
To loose your footing is suicide.
