Keeping the status quo

*keeping the status quo*
Single earpiece in listening
Doesn't connect to an ipod
Bulging pockets in jackets
Too heavy and bulky for phone or wallet
Always short haircuts and slight stubble
Of the over casual forgettable stalker
The SAS ASIS CIA FSB MI6 operative
Listening for the fall of evidence
Processing the entry exit points
Every room a puzzle to be disassembled
In case a hurried exit needed
Following the daily orders
Of who is the current state enemy
Tomorrow or in five years they may be elected
Their beliefs become acceptable
Be held as right to all of society
For now they are the"rock the boaters"
Unaligned radical forward thinkers talking
The ones for whom the special operatives
And the secret police licences
Are most especially made
To inform those who are establishment today
What these new leaders of change are doing
And for how much longer
The old ideas and present masters
Can keep the world in their hands
Continue the privilege of this status quo
Or if the watchers watching
Need to become operatives acting
Reduce potential new leaders of social order
To a single paragraph fatal car crash
Or a freak bath drowning accident.
