Shadow Night +++
Someone stole the Sun
Misplaced that glowing orb
Set our world to darkness
Made all shadows blend as one
Texture of night is different
A stranger cloth than day
Rolls all distance together
Only see as far as stars glimmer
Or within street-lamp cones of light
Beyond here are our primitive selves
Cowering in the darkness
Barbaric and uncivilised
Those untamed patches of black
Sky is in malevolence crowned
Black merges black to shadows deep
Conjure hidden things from your eyes
A sense of primal watching
Death and danger on your heels
Know if do not find some light
Such terror in the dark
When the goblins walk
And ghosts long gone come up to speak.
