** dreams lingering **
I know I had the strangest dreams
Feel them linger still
These dreams spinning in my head
On waking still sit there
Layered beneath my thoughts
Making me feel as if
I have forgotten or overlooked
Something I was meant to do
A nagging itching edgy feeling
A nudge waiting a wink
Colours every thought I have
Sets back my every think
In reality must ply my day
And these lost dreams crowd my way.
