Lost

** lost **
To lose one's way
Inside your own head
To fail to navigate
Beyond your own thoughts
Become becalmed
In sea of doubt
Unable to find way out
Scurvy of heart afflicts you
Sleeplessness a complication
Erratic thoughts without validation
Future appears bleak and uncertain
All joy behind a blackout curtain
Does not shine out for you
Thoughts of merriment erode
A drought of pleasantness
More and more inside turn
Outer world has no connection
Inner world a maze of shifting walls
Pits so deep form an abyss
No signposts out you can see
Commonsense has lost its grip
Upon the production of your thoughts
Lost your way inside your thoughts
The only way out is in yourself
Somewhere somewhere in your head.
