What we need

* what we need *
How much more might be demanded
Form our lives than this
A roof above our heads
A dry place to sleep
A fully belly when we feed
Access to clean water and heat
How much more might we require
Beyond these things it transpires
Is weighed in our desires not needs
The human body well fed and kept
Shall not in truth deteriorate
How we set our desires shows
As much what we have and have not
Without the love and trust on which to rest
We dart a hundred ways and our stress attests
To the need beyond the physical sustenance
To a deeper joining as an individual
To another individual or the World
To a philosophy complete or kisses sweet
And all else is static and thunder
Opposing simplicity to be found
In our own portion of Happy Ever After.
