My heart is a fishing line
Weighed down by thoughts
Of human acts ignoble
How we treat one another
Is sometimes simply beyond belief
And reasons given for allowing
Such treatment to exist
Is to say there are beliefs
A greater consciousness or grace
Defined by man towards divinity
And the strictures of this God
State God must be revered and respected
All must follow this god great
As if God was on Big Brother
And by not watching
We could vote God off
How little faith it seems believers have
In their God's omnipotence and intelligence
To think their laws of subjugation
Alienation sexism and division
Reflect their God's wishes
On how the faithful can attain
Spiritual enlightenment and divinity.
