Set dreams aside

--- set dreams aside ---
Has the water from the well
Been taken too many times
Has the Sun shone unappreciated
So often it turns its face aside
Are our dreams formed of sterner stuff
Or as fragile and light as candy floss
Ignore the pain and battering heat
Ignore the buckets dry and empty
Ignore ignore ignore till day is gone
Ignore ignore ignore until night is lost
Struggle on and sisypheanan achievements mark
With blood and sweat and salt of brow
Till the fields and mill the wheat
Set dreams aside behind shelf of expediency
For our Tomorrows are all exiled
So ignore the heart's pleas
Ignore the soul's starving mewls
This is our life of grit and toil
Dreams will only serve to confuse.
