A question of climate

* a question of climate *
If we consider the world we live in
Is the only place we have got
By our actions are bad tenants
Upsetting a delicate equilibrium
The coal we burn gives off its plumes
Cars and industry release fumes
Infects and makes heavy the air
Bonds of smog choke our cities
Children cough and die
A pleurisy across the entire globe
Fevered chills of climate change
Sometimes unexpectedly cold
Other times raging hot
Lungs of planet are clogging up
Winds change their course
Or turn upon our lives in fury
Rivers to toxicity turn
Lakes dry up or unexpectedly flood
World an unbalanced patient is
Bringing natural disasters on our heads
Only natural in they are from our world
For is our action brings forth Nature's wrath
100 year floods occurring more frequently
Than actuarial tables would state
New records of weather extreme
Tragic episodes of fierce angry weather
Where once more temperate spirits played
We say is not us and what we do
Perhaps the natural world is in a mood
Perhaps the cow jumped over the moon
But I don't think so do you?
