Over what was once an entertainment park
Now merely serving as a sewer pipe
Such an inevitable decline
Unpleasant to observer and participant alike
The steel of youth replaced
With limp soggy noodle construction
Resilience ebbed away
Seepage occurred watching television
A constant drip during sedentary work
Confronting a PC not a pick
The tanned bronzed Aussie metamorphosising
Into the pale half-brother of Gollum
The young boisterous larrikin become
The nosey noisy bugger
To this we all must succumb
Our Australian vices overwhelm
The obesity of a nation free
Evident in every you and every me.
