end of week romance

end of week romance

* end of week romance *
The lights go down
Sun already in bed
Hopes are rising for some fun
Bar's half full when you walk in
As night progresses
A smile a wink a grin
Soon in the corner comparing pasts
People we know and places been
Quickly seems you are not a stranger
An instant connection alcohol enhanced
Might be a chance for you
To see me without my pants
The musics loud and chatter harsh
Escape into the cool night air
Where we go doesn't really care
A place we both know for another drink
Caffine loaded makes pause to think
Words grown more scarce now
Appraising looks grown freer
Lean in and taste latte froth
Rich on lips seductively soft
A sweaty palm resting on your knee
Your arm entwined around my back
Just for balance and heat you see
Another kiss smothers words
Press against your divine curves
No words are found to say
As long periods of gazing deep
Into eyes so bright and a greater leap
Perhaps we should head on home
Pop in and see my untidy home
A pause distinct then decision made
We rise and coffees paid
Head out the door into chill air
And we both don't really care.
