Newton's seed

* Newton's seed *
An apple sliced exact in half
Falls apart and reveals
Orbiting seeds a kernel
A miniature solar system
Within a universe much greater
And these seeds planetary
Each can bring forth life
An entire tree from one planted
In producing a tree replicate
Not once but as many times
As each harvest of every apple
And within each apple each seed
Such dimensions of growth
An expansion plain to see
Now look beyond the seed
Apple universe in which exists
Beyond the tree
Beyond the earth in which tree sits
Beyond the world of this tree
Beyond our solar system vast
Beyond galaxy greater still
Beyond all comprehension and form
Then you might in part grasp
Infinite complexity of our universe.
