Dark rights

Dark rights

* dark rights *
Darkness falls as is its right
Across valleys and fields broad
Shadows small which clung through say
Now unfurl as part of tapestry of night
The light we bring to hold dark back
Extends not much beyond our grasp
Also close the sense of loss
A battle fought and we did not win
The dark has conquered all
And so world stands until the dawn
Till spinning world tilts to catch
Sun beams complete distance race
From star we call our Sun and friend
Illuminate and present day again
Reject the rights of darkness
To hold all we are to ran$om.
