After work drinks

 * after work drinks *
There was nothing done
Just words and drinks
Reflection on workday past
The performance and foibles of others
A totally innocent occurence
You could have been there
Would the conversation have been as lively
The thoughts with interest flare
Noted how she sat upon her seat
The pointing direction of her feet
Brushing back of her hair
Even the words she chose to use
Tongue circling vocabulary abuse
A clarion call to thoughts
Best used and set aside
In another context or situation
In fact an entire different person
Captivating your thoughts
Rather than a worl colleague
Over a beer or two
Exploring knowing each other
Finding if conversation continue
Beyond the bounds of work
Trying to associate this person
With who she is meant to be
Could be in my universe
But nothing at all happened
I left and did she
Headed to our different homes
Partners waiting there for us
It was all a totally inconnect occurence
Which probably won't reoccur.
