Drifting heart

Drifting heart

* drifting heart *
Drifting heart
Naked and bare
Open to all invitations
Seems to lead to insinuation
That this heart does not care
This heart as open as it dare
Been hurt before
And experience has shown
Will be hurt many times again
Not a careless heart
Though this drifting heart
Can often be lead astray
Balloon upon a string
A bird looking for a glittery thing
Such open heart has flaws
Dreams the best and imposes
Best of every dream on others
Projects them as answers truly
Paragons of spirit and thought
So much greater than this heart here
This heart naked and laid bare
To world of other hearts
Some sculptured false
Some just sharp and abusive
Some cold as Moon's dark side
Some so hurt must always hide
This heart naked encounters all
Wonders if there is one heart more
A heart to match this heart bare
Treat it well without callous care
To share and grow and long life know
Two hearts to pulse as one
Invulnerable to all hurts of World
So this bare and naked heart rejoices
In life made out and many choices
For until an end always fabric of hope
A fine garment allows drifting heart to cope.
