We seem to be averting a communism of thought
A diluting of culture
When one culture or norm begins
To establish itself as dominate
Be it religion or trademark or activity
At the edges a great crumbling occurs
Which results in cracks across popular culture
A redefining of the spreading dominate norm
So the dominate norm projected
Only retains a significant greater minority of the whole
Rather than a definable majority
Is this an evolutionary skill
Humanity avoiding full commonaility of thought
Of activities or philosphies all the same
For such single specism would result
In a single flaw being targetted to overwhelm all
Instead by constant crumbling nonacceptance
By new cults and ideas outside the mainstream
Means any single threat based on a norm
Will have a significant impact but not total
If turns out tattoos kill then those non-tattooed live on
Or if ipods carry a poison transmitted by use
Not all shall cease to hear music
The human race avoid extinction
Because some listen to vinyl
Or cds or MP3 players
But not ipods
The diversification of humanity
Saves us from dead end of generic failures.
