Probably better
As a pet
Being a red setter
Further up the food chain
Than a pygmy hamster
Or dead goldfish down the drain
Probably better to be
A giant rather than a weed
Something which goes stomping round
Rather than an annoyance in the ground
Not sure how or what karma is set
To decide what our soul will get
Bug or bee or bear
Fish or tree or platypus
How would you become rare
Is it easier to be a common animal
For most are chickens or pigs
Garden variety apples or figs
Not exotic rare orchids
Or last remaining polecats
How is it decided
Where our soul this life resided.
