a courting they will go

* a courting they will go *
When you close eyes
Seek silence of oblivion
Escape the busy day
Winding chatter pointless
The flirting and light teasing
Of the young naively courting
In each see the glow
Of life burning so cleanly and steadily
An Olympic cauldron of hope
Their words may go nowhere
Hearts may not be given
Still they buzz around each other
Sensing nectar of life
Life lived well and joyously
In their laughter angels sigh
As you sit there wise
All your experience cannot provide
Effervescence of their moment
These seasons in the Sun.
