Thimble

* thimble *
This heavy load in a heart
This trembling thimble of love
Tipped over and loving all run out
An ugly smear on your life
A stain which will not fade
Not even sure why love spilled
Never seemed to be your intention
To believe love could end
Destroy a relationship which did not offend
All the same has now been done
The love has drained away
A rancid taste in mouth to stay
Broken vows rough edges scrape
Dig at veneer of apathy
Bring to surface bile of guilt
An acid kick in all you see
A world of complete negativity
All brought on by what you did
When allowed thimble full to fall.
