Slow trains for Jordan
Down to holy waters trip
Pilgrims in reverence silent
Thinking into waters slip
Perhaps cannot stand in same spot
For river always hurries on
But perhaps water which brushes
Might have brushed against them too
Those holy men of history
Guides of our lands
Those people to whom we pray
Prophets who do tell us
There is a greater plan.
