Under bellied

 + Under Bellied +
They once were warriors
Or so they thought themselves
In fact were not glorious at all
Brutish short lived and mean
Greedy thugs quarreling over
Thief-dom realms beneath our notice
Gun or kick or fist or knife
If crossed they would take your life
These mad bad and cunning scum
The men and women who lived
To bring society undone
Drugs prostitution and murder
They sold them without care
This was the world which formed them
A world we wished no part of
A world which crossed boundaries of black and white
The  living hardest under veil of night
These gangster fellows in shades and cars
With the cronies close would empty bars
Had no care or respect for life
Expected own to be a blight
Society it seemed gave them nothing
Except a world of rights
So they could tie the courtrooms up
By employing QCs with whom they could not sup
Now they are dead and buried
Short lived lives more manic than merry
Dismantled by the very world they ruled
Dinosaurs of thought and code.
