Poetry only read

+ Poetry only read +

Poetry is only read
By poet readers familiar
Those who poetry do not view
Never ever seem to
Becomes a divide insurmountable
Partitioning of knowing complete
Those ignorant philistines many
Who never near poems would tarry
Lumps of rotten wood for hearts
Heads empty of any smarts
Completely dead to another world
Less complete than a bridge unjoined
The flotsam and jetsam of the street
Never the twain seems shall meet
Words escape beyond their keen
Their world and poetry never together seen.
